Superior, NE – Nifty Thrifty, a local thrift store owned by Brodstone Healthcare and operated by a team of gracious volunteers, is thrilled to announce a significant donation of $60,000 to the Brodstone Foundation. The generous contribution is a direct result of the community’s support of the thrift store.
“We are incredibly grateful to our community for their continued support of Nifty Thrifty,” said Heather Erickson, Senior Director of Development at Brodstone Healthcare. “The funds raised through the Nifty Thrifty have a direct impact on patient care, and allows us to invest in cutting-edge equipment and improve the overall quality of care we provide. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers who run Nifty Thrifty, whose tireless efforts are instrumental to Brodstone Healthcare's success.”
A portion of the $60,000 donation will be used to purchase a new Bariatric Bed for the nursing department. This state-of-the-art equipment will provide increased comfort and safety for patients, ensuring the highest level of care.
“This gift will make a significant impact on the care we provide to our patients,” said Candice Thompson, Chief Nursing Officer at Brodstone Healthcare. “This specialized bed will help prevent pressure injuries for our patients, offering increased comfort and healing. We are particularly excited about the bed’s versatility, as it can also be used for end-of-life care and even accommodate a family member alongside a pediatric patient. Nifty Thrifty’s support directly contributes to enhancing patient care and comfort, and we extend our sincere thanks for their commitment to our community.”
