Nifty Thrifty made a generous donation of $55,000 to the Brodstone Healthcare Foundation in August of 2020. The Brodstone Healthcare Foundation recently used these funds to purchase new surgical equipment for the hospital. This equipment will assist Brodstone in the continued expansion of their Surgical Department and will increase the availability of surgical procedures within the facility. The expansion of the Surgical Department at Brodstone will allow patients and community members the comfort and convenience of receiving their surgical care close to home.

The Brodstone Healthcare Auxiliary and its gracious volunteers operate Nifty Thrifty. Nifty Thrifty accepts donated items in good condition and sells them in their storefront which is located in downtown Superior, NE. The annual funds raised by Nifty Thrifty are donated to the Brodstone Healthcare Foundation to assist in the purchase of new equipment for the hospital.

The Brodstone Healthcare Foundation is a nonprofit organization that accepts financial gifts to enhance and expand healthcare programs and services at Brodstone. The Foundation officially became a separate 501(c)3 organization in 2020. The Foundation’s sole purpose is to support, perform the function of, and to carry out the purposes of Brodstone Healthcare.
